Mrs. Howe has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kansas. She has her Montessori elementary certification from the American Montessori Society. She was a teacher for 23 years and chose to start her own school 30 years ago that would prepare children for success, where each child would receive a Montessori education that would nurture a child’s need to explore different styles of learning to discover their own. Mrs. Howe was named the 2003-2004 GCAEYC Administrator of the Year! She enjoys exposing the children to the wonders of nature as she too loves gardening, birding, and quilting.

Laurie has worked at South Shore Montessori since Feb 2009. She has her Bachelors in Social Work Degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. She loves working with the children and their families. She has one daughter who attends NC State. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and is involved in dog rescue.

Ms. Claudia Ramirez attended The Institute of Montessori Toddler Seminar and follows the South Shore Montessori curriculum for the infant level. Mother of two, she is a native of Columbia and strives to teach different languages to the children. She loves teaching the infants Spanish words and songs as well as sign language. Working with South Shore Montessori since 2008, she greatly enjoys working with the children and observing the progress and development of each one. Each child should grow strong in nutrition and culture, so she introduces yoga and movements to the children as well as finger painting and seasonal crafts.

Ms. Emma Posada received her Montessori training from Houston Montessori Center. She is married, a mother of two children, and has worked for South Shore Montessori since 2005. Her mission is to provide an orderly, happy, nurturing, and safe environment in which your child can thrive in all areas to make for a well-rounded child. Her role is to guide your child to fulfill their work's purpose. Your child has the freedom to choose work and work at their own pace, which helps promote a sense of order, independence, coordination, and cooperation. In their class, your child feels a sense of belonging and is invited to explore the world in sensorial, language, math, geography, culture, and science.

Samina holds an Association Montessori International credential from Shri Ratan Tata Institute. She is a native of India and is passionate about the Montessori method. Samina has been part of South Shore Montessori School from 2014. Her goal is to allow the child to follow his own cycle of activity. Samina enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys doing arts and crafts with children and unleashing their creativity.

Ms. Gwen Carty attended the Mentoring the Assistant Workshop at the Houston Montessori Center and follows the South Shore Montessori Curriculum for the toddler level. Gwen is married, a mother of three boys and has worked for South Shore Montessori since 2014. She truly enjoys working with children and observing the progress and development of each child. She also enjoys doing arts and crafts with the children and unlocking their creative potential.
